Winterfylleth is an interesting English black metal band from Manchester. Since their beginning in 2006, the band has released 6 studio albums. They have become popular in both the English underground metal scene and the wider international metal music arena. Winterfylleth describe themselves as "English Heritage Black Metal." It is similar to a fellow English black metal band Wodensthrone. They have common lyrical and aesthetic themes. The Old English word 'Winterfylleth' translates into modern English as 'Winter Full Moon.' This is talking about the arrival of the first full moon of winter - which is usually in October.
