NASA Mars 2020 Rover Perseverance Launch Video : Full Details in 4k

This is another interesting video by Science Loop on Youtube. It's great to watch NASA's Perseverance rover (2020 Rover) and Ingenuity (Mars Helicopter) launch by Atlas 5 (V) Rocket from Florida Cape Canaveral. It is just starting its journey to the Red planet (Mars).

The Mars 2020 mission and its components are fascinating. Mars 2020 is a Mars rover mission by NASA's Mars Exploration Program that includes the Perseverance rover and the Ingenuity helicopter drone. It was launched on 30 July 2020 at 11:50 UTC. It will touch down in Jezero crater on Mars on 18 February 2021.

NASA 's Perseverance rover (2020 Rover) is the most advanced Mars Rover and Ingenuity (Mars Helicopter) is the first ever Helicopter which will fly outside of the Earth. Amazingly, it carries 23 cameras in total, and two microphones. 19 cameras in total are included in the Perseverance rover.

Mars Helicopter Ingenuity is a robotic helicopter that is planned to be used to test the technology to scout interesting targets on Mars, and help plan the best driving route for future Mars rovers. The small drone helicopter is planned for deployment in 2021 from the Perseverance rover as part of the Mars 2020 mission. It is expected to fly up to five times during its 30-day test campaign, early in the rover's mission, as it is primarily a technology demonstration.

NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover mission is on its way to the Red Planet to search for signs of ancient life and collect samples to send back to Earth.

Humanity's most sophisticated rover launched with the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter at 7:50 a.m. EDT (4:50 a.m. PDT) Friday on a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

"With the launch of Perseverance, we begin another historic mission of exploration," said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. "This amazing explorer's journey has already required the very best from all of us to get it to launch through these challenging times. Now we can look forward to its incredible science and to bringing samples of Mars home even as we advance human missions to the Red Planet. As a mission, as an agency, and as a country, we will persevere."

Oddest Friendships Between Animals

It's pretty interesting to watch Oddest Friendships Between Animals. Take a look at Animal Odd Couples. See real wild animals. Fascinating wildlife biologist Liz Bonnin sets off on a worldwide journey of discovery to find out why animals of different species make friends with each other. There is even a discussion about why apex predators make friends with humans.

An apex predator is also known as an alpha predator or top predator. This is an animal predator at the top of a food chain, without natural predators. Apex predators are usually defined in terms of trophic dynamics, meaning that they occupy the highest trophic levels.

The trophic level of an organism is the position it occupies in a food web. A food chain is a succession of organisms that eat other organisms and may, in turn, be eaten themselves. The trophic level of an organism is the number of steps it is from the start of this important chain.

In the natural sciences, an apex predator is a predator that certainly exists at the very top of the food chain. Unlike some other predators, it's never preyed upon itself. Examples include polar bears, black bears, lions, crocodiles, orcas, killer whales, tigers, jaguars and cheetahs.

Hissing Goose Wants More Food

Lots of people like to feed the birds like geese and ducks. Birds can be comfortable with coming close to people. However, the birds will hiss when they think people are too close. It's possible that geese will hiss if you don't have any more food for them, like you usually have food. Not all geese will make a honking noise.

Geese Protecting Their Nests

Take a look at hissing geese that protect their nests. These geese are pretty beautiful and amazing. Geese can be fussy, sometimes. These birds are pretty intelligent creatures. Geese will crack you up.

The most Canadian way to get rid of bears

Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle - LASER Experiment

This is another interesting video by Science Loop on Youtube. Take a look at an experiment with a "LASER Beam" and an adjustable slit that demonstrates Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. Take a look at descriptions, animations and explanation. Introduced first in 1927 by the German physicist Werner Heisenberg, the uncertainty principle states that the more precisely the position of some particle is determined, the less precisely its momentum can be predicted from initial conditions, and vice versa. The formal inequality relating the standard deviation of position σx and the standard deviation of momentum σp was derived by Earle Hesse Kennard later that year and by Hermann Wey in 1928.

The Uncertainty Principle is also called the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle or Indeterminacy Principle. It was articulated in 1927 by the German physicist Werner Heisenberg. The idea is that the position and the velocity of an object cannot both be measured exactly, at the same time, even in theory.

Heisenberg's uncertainty principle is certainly a key principle in quantum mechanics. The general idea is that if we know everything about where a particle is located (the uncertainty of position is small), we know nothing about its momentum (the uncertainty of momentum is large), and vice versa.

In quantum mechanics, the uncertainty principle is any of a variety of mathematical inequalities asserting a fundamental limit to the precision with which the values for certain pairs of physical quantities of a particle, such as position, x, and momentum, p, can be predicted from initial conditions.

Quantum Mechanics is a part of quantum field theory. It is a fundamental theory in physics. It describes physical properties of nature on an atomic scale. Quantum Mechanics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the mathematical description of the motion and interaction of subatomic particles, incorporating the concepts of quantization of energy, wave-particle duality, the uncertainty principle, and the correspondence principle.

Canada Goose Honking

Canada Goose Honking is pretty amazing. Take a look at funny humans and Canada geese honking at each other. It is kind of like they "talk" to each other. The goose actually bites when you stick out your hand but it doesn't hurt much. Geese sure like being fed.

Canada Geese in Water and Green Grass

See beautiful Canada geese in water and green grass. This interesting Canada Goose has a normal neck and head but a white body. This bird kind of stands out from the other birds.

Canada Geese attacking during a goose egg addling job

What is Goose Egg Addling? It is a wildlife management method of population control for Canada geese and other bird species. The process of addling involves temporarily removing fertilized eggs from the nest, testing for embryo development, terminating embryo development, and placing the egg back in the nest.

Take a look at how a mating pair defends their nest. Wild geese try to care for their eggs.

Would you eat a Canada Goose?

Canada Geese are often considered annoying and pesky defensive birds. In Canada, these birds are not bothered. However, in some parts of the USA, they are becoming an even greater nuisance. One place in particular is implementing an unusual "unique" idea.

The discussion is about whether you would eat a Canada Goose. People have mixed feelings about eating the bird. It's not really the official bird of Canada, but it is a pretty significant type of bird.

Some people would eat the bird, if they knew for sure where it was from. Some people would eat beavers. Some places already have hunting seasons for geese. Some places destroy geese eggs if there is a good enough reason for it.

Feeding Hungry Canada Geese

Take a look at a first-person view of birds being fed. They like to eat whole corn. Hungry Canada Geese are thankful for the food received.

Canada Goose - Interesting Facts

These are some pretty informative interesting facts about Canada Geese. You will enjoy learning more about these amazing birds. The geese in North America walk a lot in urban areas. They are usually not scared of humans.

Goose vs Swan

Watch a Canada Goose protect her goslings from a swan. Geese are defensive animals. The Goose and Swan went head-to-head in a Mortal Kombat-like battle. At some point, one of the birds fell into the lake and swam off. The swan was sure hungry. The goose was angered. It seems that the tide was rising.

Feeding Canada Geese

A lot of people like feeding Canada geese. They are such beautiful birds. People do hand feeding of Canada geese. The geese are not scared of humans. Some might think that feeding geese is more entertaining than watching a sports match. Sometimes a goose kind of starts biting the other ones.

A Canada Goose Documentary

This is a pretty interesting Canada Goose Documentary. It's probably better to feed the birds with wild bird seed instead of bread. It's possible that the bread doesn't contain all the nutrients the birds require to stay healthy and strong. It's fun to watch geese at a local park's lake. The birds look very similar to each other.

Canada Goose Traffic Jam

Canada has the most interesting animal things, like a Canada Goose Traffic Jam. As some say, Canada Goose is an invasive species. The joke is that flying is costly, so birds are saving money. A good society treats other species with due respect. It's amazing when animals are given respect.

Spain city of 140,000 people, Lleida, locks down again after spike in coronavirus cases

A Spanish city of 140,000 people is really back in lockdown near Barcelona after a huge spike in Coronavirus Covid-19 cases. Some people arriving to Spain saw "padlocked" Spanish hotels (hotels that they could not use). The important measure affects around 140,000 people in Lleida (located just under two hours drive west of the Catalan capital).

People in another 7 municipalities near Lleida in the Segria region have also been told they can only go outdoors to buy essential food or go to the bank or for work (only essential service work). The trips outside the house have to be essential.

French Government resigns ahead of new Prime Minister appointment

French President Emmanuel Macron appoints new prime minister after government resigns. Macron said the government's resignation was necessary to create a "new path" forward for his presidency. Top civil servant Jean Castex is France's new prime minister. Castex is a senior civil servant who has held several posts in local, regional and national governments.

In April, Castex was charged with managing the easing of France's lockdown during the novel Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic. Earlier, Eduoard Philippe resigned along with the rest of the French government.

The move creates a new direction for a government reshuffle. This type of move was widely expected as French President Emmanuel Macron seeks to boost his credentials with certain voters.

In June, France's Macron did declare a "first victory" over the Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic. However, the global Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic is still continuing around the globe.

It's important to stay 6 feet apart and wear a mask (as much as you can) everywhere you go. It's certainly a good idea to stay home as much as you can.

Tensions flare in Italy as coronavirus spreads among migrant workers

Unfortunately, certain parts of Europe have flare-ups of Coronavirus Covid-19 infections. In the country of Italy, there has been a spike in new cases to the north of Naples. This spike was mainly in apartment blocks housing seasonal farm workers from Bulgaria and Romania. The city of Mondragone is certainly on alert to try to stop the deadly virus from spreading further.

It's important to stay 6 feet apart and wear a mask (as much as you can) everywhere you go. It's certainly a good idea to stay home as much as you can.

USA Coronavirus cases almost 3 million after the country reported a record single-day increase

The state of Florida certainly has broken the USA record for single-day COVID-19 cases. Unfortunately, more than 15,000 new cases of the Coronavirus Covid-19 were announced in Florida as hotspots across USA face a testing crisis.

There seems to have been a resurgence of the Coronavirus Covid-19 in the United States of America. There are debates about whether to reopen certain schools. Global health officials have warned that the pandemic will intensify unless more countries adopt comprehensive plans to combat the virus. Students (when it's safe to do so) should be going back to classrooms.

It's important to stay 6 feet apart and wear a mask (as much as you can) everywhere you go. It's certainly a good idea to stay home as much as you can.

UK Coronavirus: physical distancing and intoxication don't mix

Pubs across England officially reopened. Lockdown restrictions are being eased more and more. UK police are warning that physical distancing rules should be strictly respected. Britons should grab a pint safely. Physical distancing and intoxication don't mix.

There is a problem with people being drunk. They can't even always walk in a straight line. The Walk and Turn Test is an interesting test to see how drunk a person is. The walk and turn test is a standardized field sobriety test (FST) that police frequently administer in order to detect whether a person is under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. During the walk and turn test, the person is ordered to take nine heel-to-toe steps along a straight line.

Doctors use the term vertigo to describe this spinning, revolving form of dizziness. Some people describe the feeling as if they were walking on a mattress or walking on a soft surface like cotton wool. You could feel tipsy or drunk. Some drunk people could be shaking left and right. It's easy to accidentally bump into other people.

Drunk walking involves people intoxicated by alcohol walking in public spaces.

Some interesting ways to know you're drunk:

When you stand up, it feels like you're on a boat.
When you look in the mirror, you don't even recognize yourself.
Your phone becomes a complicated Rubik's cube.
You start taking off clothes for no real reason.
Rolling on the floor becomes fun and exciting.
You puke.

10 Bizarre Deep Space Astronomical Objects

Take a look at an exploration of ten bizarre astronomical objects either confirmed to exist by scientists, or are hypothesized to likely exist. These are exciting 10 Bizarre Deep Space Astronomical Objects.

Asteroid Filled With Gold And Most Expensive Things in Space

There is an Asteroid Filled With Gold And Most Expensive Things in Outer Space out there. There are differences between asteroids, comets, and meteors. Asteroids can contain huge amounts of valuable elements. Some asteroids can be unimaginably expensive. Asteroids come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The descriptions of asteroids are pretty amazing here.

Asteroids are known as minor planets, especially of the inner Solar System. Larger asteroids have also been labeled so-called planetoids (almost like planet). These terms have historically been applied to any astronomical object orbiting the Sun that did not resolve into a disc in a telescope and was not observed to have characteristics of an active comet such as a certain interesting tail.

Minor planets in the outer Solar System were discovered that were found to have interesting volatile-rich surfaces similar to comets. These came to be distinguished from the objects found in the main asteroid belt. The term "asteroid" certainly usually refers to the various minor planets of the inner Solar System, including those co-orbital with Jupiter.

Asteroids are different from comets and meteoroids.

For comets, there is a difference of composition. Asteroids are mainly composed of mineral and rock. Comets are primarily composed of dust and ice. To add to that, asteroids formed closer to the sun, preventing the development of cometary ice.

For meteoroids, it is mainly a size difference. Meteoroids have a diameter of one meter or less. Asteroids have a diameter of greater than one meter. To add to that, meteoroids can be composed of either cometary or asteroidal materials.

The history of known asteroids is interesting. The first asteroid to be discovered was Ceres. It was, at first, considered to be a new planet. This was followed by the important discovery of other similar bodies. The equipment of the time was not very good at viewing these objects. They appeared to be points of light like stars. They showed little or no planetary disc. However, they were distinguishable from stars due to their apparent motions. Because of this, astronomer Sir William Herschel proposed the term "asteroid." In the Greek language, it would be: ἀστεροειδής. This means 'star-like, star-shaped', and derived from the Ancient Greek ἀστήρ (star, planet). In the early second half of the 19th century, the terms "asteroid" and "planet" (not always qualified as "minor") were still often used interchangeably.

Here is sure an interesting overview of the discovery timeline:

10 asteroids discovered by 1849:

01 - Ceres - 1801
02 - Pallas - 1802
03 - Juno - 1804
04 - Vesta - 1807

(in 1846, planet Neptune was discovered)

06 Hebe - July 1847
07 Iris - August 1847
08 Flora - October 1847
09 Metis - 25 April 1848

Raccoon refuses to let owner stop petting her

It's pretty interesting how the raccoon refuses to let owner stop petting her. This raccoon loves getting petted. The raccoon loves the back scratched. The owner can't be allowed to stop petting. It is like the raccoon is training her human. Persistence is happening. Interesting how the raccoon grabs the hand and takes it back. You can stop when you are allowed. Keep petting it. It's the itch that never goes away.

Trash Panda is a slang word for Raccoon. However, it seems that raccoons seem to like being clean. That is one determined little raccoon - it is cute, smart and intelligent.

Raccoons in shirts eating biscuits

Raccoons in shirts eating biscuits - this is pretty funny. They hear footsteps and they sneak that midnight snack. Maybe those are not biscuits. The one without a shirt looks kind of under-dressed to be eating at the table - funny. There could be Trail Mix here. They are cute with their little shirts. These funny raccoons will not disappoint you.

Pet raccoon washing his grapes (to feel shape and texture of food)

This pet raccoon washing his grapes is pretty cool. He has to wash his fruit before he snacks on it. The Swedish word for raccoon is tvättbjörn, which literally means "washing-bear". It is also washing bear in many other languages.

It's funny. It's like the raccoon knows our foods are sprayed with tons of different chemicals. Raccoons look like they are too smart for their own good. Raccoons could open fridges and take the food. Raccoons could mess with possessions as if they were their own.

Such raccoons could inspire other humans to wash grapes, too.

Raccoons certainly usually wet and "wash" their food before eating it. People often think that they are washing their food, but that is not the reason for the habit, it seems. Researchers say that raccoons wet their food to gather more sensory information about it from nerve endings in their paws. Experts believe that moistening food enhances a raccoon's understanding of what it is eating. They are making their paws more sensitive to touch, so they can take in more information (such as shape and texture) about what they're about to eat.

Buster Raccoon does not like the cold weather

This is pretty interesting - funny Buster Raccoon does not like the cold weather. Looks like he needs some motivation to wake up. Treats could be coming to this animal. Buster the Raccoon aka "Butter Brownie"  (because he is so soft and sweet) doesn't like the cold weather. Watch the animal being motivated (with treats) to get up.

This animal was well cared for. The raccoon is well relaxed. Sometimes you see a cool paw.

Vicious Raccoon Eating a Carrot

This vicious raccoon eating a carrot is pretty funny.

John Simon Ritchie is known professionally as Sid Vicious. He was an English bassist and vocalist.

Vicious is also a British television sitcom shown on ITV.

Hissing Feral Cat Falls In Love With The Guy Who Rescued Him

It seems that the rescuer keeps getting bitten. The love of a feral cat is hard to win. It looks like this man runs a shelter in Greece all by himself and tries to help every animal he comes across. This is pretty amazing.

The joke is that the cat was German, he keep saying Nein, Nein, Nein, so he didnt leave. Usually, people don't like to get bitten too much. It is good that the cat is in good condition.

The word feral is an adjective that means: (especially of an animal) in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication. For example, "a feral cat."

The feral pig is a pig living in the wild, but which has descended from escaped domesticated swine.

Feral hogs can be a problem. In addition to damaging crops and livestock, wild pigs damage forests. They can also be a threat to native wildlife and the environment.

Ravens Can Talk - Amazing Smart Animals

This amazing talking bird (kind of like a parrot) is Mischief the White-Necked Raven.  These ravens are found throughout eastern and southern Africa, and are common near human habitation. Like all members of the Corvidae family, ravens are extremely intelligent smart birds. These birds have been known to get tools to get food if necessary. They can even mimic human speech. Ravens are some of the smartest of all animals.

The main diet of White-Necked Ravens is fruit, insects, and small reptiles. Amazingly, if they find a small tortoise to eat, they will lift it up and drop it to the ground to break the shell.

Ravens display a strange behavior in the wild called "anting". Anting is a maintenance behaviour during which birds rub small insects, usually ants, on their feathers and skin. The bird may pick up the insects in its bill and rub them on the body, or the bird may lie in an area of high density of the insects and perform dust bathing-like movements.

Many people are puzzled by what is the purpose of anting.

It seems that the insects secrete liquids containing chemicals such as formic acid, which can act as an insecticide, miticide, fungicide, or bactericide. Alternatively, anting could make the insects edible by removing the distasteful acid. Anting could also possibly supplement the bird's own preen oil. Instead of ants, birds can also use other insects, such as millipedes. Amazingly, more than 200 species of bird are known to "ant."

A possibly related behaviour, self-anointing, is seen in many various mammals.

Self-anointing in animals, sometimes called anointing or anting, is a behaviour whereby a non-human animal smears odoriferous (having or giving off a smell, especially an unpleasant or distinctive one) substances over themselves. These substances are often the secretions, parts, or entire bodies of other animals or plants.

Anting is a weird bird behavior. The first scientific writings of this behaviour dates back to 1831. American ornithologist John James Audubon described wild juvenile turkeys that "wallowed" in abandoned ant hills. There have been also descriptions about how ants remove parasites from a tame crow, while the crow is foraging for food. There have been descriptions of strange relationship birds had with ants. "Anting" is translated to different languages in different ways.

The common raven (Corvus corax), also known as the northern raven, is a large all-black passerine interesting bird. The bird is found across the Northern Hemisphere. It is the most widely distributed of all corvids. There are at least 8 subspecies with little variation in appearance.

Common ravens have certainly coexisted with humans for thousands of years. In some areas, they have been so numerous that people have regarded them as pests. These birds have an omnivorous diet. For nutrition, they feed on carrion, insects, cereal grains, berries, fruit, small animals, nesting birds and even food waste.

Some notable feats of smart problem-solving provide evidence that the common raven is unusually intelligent (compared to other animals). Over the centuries, ravens have been the subject of mythology, folklore, art and literature. Some places think of ravens like spiritual figures or godlike creatures.

Some people had no clue that ravens could talk. They sound more realistic then parrots, sometimes. It's like a "talking" dinosaur. Some ravens sounds more humanlike than parrots.

Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman, also known mononymously as Raven, is an American actress, singer, songwriter and producer.

That's So Raven is an American supernatural sitcom.

Crows are different from Ravens. You probably know that ravens are larger birds. Ravens are about the size of a Red-tailed Hawk. Ravens often travel in pairs. However, crows are seen in larger groups. Pay attention to the bird's tail as it flies overhead. The crow's tail feathers are basically the same length, so when the bird spreads its tail, it opens like a fan that way.

The three-eyed raven was an ancient and immensely powerful greenseer who could perceive the past, present and future through visions. It could time travel with ease. This is a mysterious mythical bird.

Raven tattoos can certainly have both positive and negative meanings. It depends how the bird is drawn in artwork.

"The Raven" is an interesting well-known poem by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. It was first published in January 1845. The poem is often noted for its musicality, stylized language and supernatural atmosphere.

In Poe's famous poem "The Raven," a person slowly goes mad from grief. He asks the raven if Lenore (lost person) is in heaven, and again, it answers, "nevermore." In the end, the speaker goes insane. It is possible that the word "nevermore" can mean here that he will never be sane again.

Raven Software is an American video game developer based in Wisconsin and founded in 1990.

Gibbon freaks out over hedgehog

This is an interesting wildlife park in the lake district. These amazing animals look like a mini yeti or something. All of their mannerisms are certainly hilarious. They act like a human who just heard something scary outside. It's pretty impressive how the fantastic animal scales that long pole in quick graceful motions. Gibbons are meant to live in trees. They probably don't know what to do with their arms when there are no branches around. Some of them look like they are meditating. Some gibbons can drop like 20 feet out of a tree like it was nothing.

Gibbons are actually apes in the family Hylobatidae. The family historically contained one genus, but now is split into 4 extant genera and 18 species. Gibbons certainly live in areas of subtropical and tropical rainforest from eastern Bangladesh to Northeast India to southern China and Indonesia (including the islands of Sumatra, Borneo, and Java).

They are also called the lesser apes or smaller apes. Gibbons differ from great apes (chimpanzees, bonobos, gorillas, orangutans and humans) in the fact that they are smaller. They differ also in the fact that they do not make nests.

In some ways, gibbons appear to more closely resemble monkeys than great apes do. However, like all apes, gibbons are tailless. It is also interesting that unlike most of the great apes, gibbons frequently form long-term pair bonds.

Their primary mode of locomotion is called "brachiation." Brachiation is also known as arm swinging. It is a form of arboreal locomotion in which primates swing from tree limb to tree limb using only their strong arms. During the making of brachiation, the body is alternately supported under each forelimb. Amazingly, this involves swinging from branch to branch for distances up to 15 m (50 ft), at speeds as high as 55 km/h (34 mph). These fascinating animals can also make leaps up to 8 m (26 ft). They can walk bipedally with their arms raised for balance. They are the fastest and most agile of all tree-dwelling, nonflying mammals.

Interesting gibbon species include: the siamang, the white-handed or lar gibbon, and the hoolock gibbons.

The evolutionary history of gibbons is interesting. Genome molecular dating analyses indicate that the gibbon lineage diverged from that of great apes at about 16.8 million years ago.
