Austria coronavirus death toll is 6,457


Austria entered into third lockdown on Dec. 26, 2020. Austria went into coronavirus lockdown for a third time after Christmas. It will last until January 24th.

Current Situation in Austria has the lockdown. At the moment, a lockdown is in effect in Austria. Tourism and leisure travel are not possible. Current measures - in effect at least until 24 January - include: Hotels are closed to leisure travelers/tourists; only essential travel (e.g. for business that cannot be delayed) is permitted.

Austria coronavirus death toll is 626



Austria's coronavirus death toll has reached 626. Total number of confirmed virus cases is 16,058.

Austria said on Wednesday its border with Germany will fully reopen in a month.

Austria's Bundesliga, the country's professional soccer league, will resume on June 2. They want to hold matches every three days to clear the backlog built up during the coronavirus shutdown.
