10 Most Beautiful Butterflies on Planet Earth

You will enjoy these beautiful insects - 10 Most Beautiful Butterflies on Planet Earth.

You might be wondering: what exactly is a butterfly? Is it like a moth? Kind of, it is. Butterflies are insects in the macrolepidopteran clade Rhopalocera from the order Lepidoptera, which also includes moths. Adult butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight. The group comprises the large superfamily Papilionoidea, which contains at least one former group, the skippers (formerly the superfamily "Hesperioidea"), and the most recent analyses suggest it also contains the moth-butterflies (formerly certainly the superfamily "Hedyloidea"). Butterfly fossils date to the Paleocene (past time long ago), about 56 million years ago.

Butterflies have the typical 4-stage insect life cycle. Winged adults lay eggs on the food plant on which their larvae, known as caterpillars, will feed. The caterpillars grow (sometimes very fast) and when fully developed, pupate in a chrysalis. When metamorphosis is complete, the pupal skin splits, the adult insect climbs out, and after its wings have expanded and dried, it flies off out there. Some butterflies, especially in the tropics, have several generations in a year. Others have a single generation. A few in cold locations may take several years to pass through their entire life cycle.

A butterfly is similar to a moth. Mothra (モスラ, Mosura) is a fictional monster, or kaiju, that first appeared in the 1961 film Mothra. Mothra's design is influenced by silk worms, their imagos, and those of giant silk moths in the family saturniidae.

Mothra is the moth-like monster star of the film, and according to Weibo, she's also Godzilla's wife.

Mothra is one of the most powerful psychics in the Toho universe. She has had the ability to use this power benevolently, to communicate with humans, or defensively, to destroy her enemies.

Mothra (モスラ, Mosura), also called The Goddess of Peace, is a giant, divine, butterfly/moth-like deity kaiju goddess, the series quadtagonist, and the Guardian of the Earth. She is Godzilla's closest friend and love interest. Unlike most other monsters in the series, Mothra is certainly always on the side of good.

In the final battle with King Ghidorah, Mothra sacrificed her life energy so that Godzilla could beat the 3-headed dragon. After being mortally wounded by Rodan, Mothra swept in to help a struggling Godzilla. Energy from her body flowed into Godzilla, allowing him to morph into his fiery form.

Who is actually Godzilla's best friend? Answer: Anguirus. Godzilla's best friend, Anguirus is an ankylosaurus-like monster. Whenever Godzilla is in danger, Anguirus is there to save him (and vice versa.) Unlike Godzilla, Anguirus is certainly usually more active and is seen exploring the island, sometimes with another monster out there.
