French police clash with striking firefighters in Paris
An interesting video is here from Global News. French firefighters can be seen clashing with the police as they demonstrated in the streets of Paris against working conditions and the government’s pensions reform bill.

This is shocking, some firefighters wearing special protective vests actually set fire to themselves as a protest.
Thousands of French firefighters on Tuesday took to the streets of Paris in a pyrotechnic protest to demand better working conditions. They ignited flares and even set their fireproof jackets on fire.
Keep in mind that in France, firefighters also respond to general emergency calls. Unions try to battle controversial government pension reforms.
There were certain clashes with security forces. Some firefighters threw different objects and police responded with tear gas.

C'est choquant, certains pompiers portant des gilets de protection spéciaux se sont incendiés pour protester.
Des milliers de pompiers français sont descendus mardi dans les rues de Paris lors d'une manifestation pyrotechnique pour exiger de meilleures conditions de travail. Ils ont allumé des fusées éclairantes et ont même mis le feu à leurs vestes ignifuges.
N'oubliez pas qu'en France, les pompiers répondent également aux appels d'urgence généraux. Les syndicats tentent de lutter contre les réformes controversées des retraites gouvernementales.
Il y a eu certains affrontements avec les forces de sécurité. Certains pompiers ont lancé différents objets et la police a riposté avec des gaz lacrymogènes.

Residents in Poland, France and Ukraine’s capital Kyiv really face new restrictions, with most shops shut and people urged to work from home.
The new rules come as the pace of the European Union’s vaccination rollout remains sluggish and several member states face a 3rd wave of the virus.
In France, the government introduced new measures after a jump in COVID-19 cases in Paris and other parts of northern France. Under these new measures, non-essential businesses in Paris are closed, while schools remain open and outdoor exercise is allowed up to 10 kilometres (six miles) from home. As in previous lockdowns, a certain form will be needed to justify why a person has left home in areas under the new restrictions.
