France's interior minister said that 135 people have been arrested as tens of thousands join protests across the country.
Police in Paris earlier seized weapons and gas masks in a crackdown; in a social media post, they say "all is calm" in the city.
Today's marches follow last weekend's riots and looting that impacted thousands of businesses and saw more than 2,700 arrested.
