Four Canadian provinces shatter daily COVID-19 records

This Episode of the Global National is pretty interesting for Canada on Nov. 21, 2020. Four Canadian provinces certainly shatter daily Coronavirus COVID-19 records. Canada is preparing for more dark days of the global pandemic. Urgent warnings have been issued by provincial and federal officials across Canada.

Unfortunately, the USA has now surpassed 12 million positive tests for COVID-19. USA broke another daily record of new cases on Friday. However, it seems that tens of millions of Americans are still planning to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday, even after being urged not to.

Both Canada and the United States have Thanksgiving as an important national holiday that occurs in the autumn. Many people consider it to be an important time for families to get together and enjoy a meal together. The history of Thanksgiving is fascinating.

Keep in mind, Thanksgiving Day in Canada is a different date than the United States. Thanksgiving Day in Canada (or in Quebec, jour de l’action de grâce) is in October, not November, as it is south of the border. An explanation for this distinction seems to be that because Canada is geographically situated further north. This means that the brief window of the harvest season comes earlier, so they observe it according to the natural seasonal shift.

Canadians certainly have been celebrating Thanksgiving as an official annual holiday since 1879. However, until 1957, the date was not fixed. The date was moved between October and November.

The type of Thanksgiving meal is similar in Canada and USA. Turkey is the main dish. It is usually accompanied by stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, sweet corn, other fall vegetables, and pumpkin pie. There are a lot of great thanksgiving side dishes out there. Thanksgiving desserts are fantastic. Also, think about thanksgiving appetizers. Thanksgiving food will satisfy you.

Thanksgiving 2020 in the United States of America is on Thursday, November 26. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

There is thanksgiving football. The NFL's Thanksgiving Day interesting games have traditionally included one game hosted by the Detroit Lions since 1934, and one game hosted by the Dallas Cowboys since 1966 (with two exceptions in 1975 and 1977). Since 2006, a third prime time game has also been played on Thanksgiving.

Many people are wondering about store hours, such as Walmart Thanksgiving hours. It seems that Walmart will not be open on Thanksgiving this year. It seems that this year they have decided to close the stores on Thanksgiving Day - November 26.

You could search and find restaurants open on thanksgiving.

Skunks seem to be North and South American mammals in the family Mephitidae. While related to polecats and other members of the weasel family, skunks have as their closest Old World relatives the stink badgers. Skunk crossing road in Toronto is pretty interesting.

Drake equation - Alien Life - Science Loop

Science Loop on Youtube talks about the visualization of the famous Drake equation. This equation calculates the number of alien civilizations in our Milky way galaxy. "Are we alone in the whole universe" - this question is asked from ancient times. Humans are still wondering about this.

The Drake equation is a probabilistic argument used to estimate the number of active, communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy.

The equation was written in 1961 by Frank Drake, not for purposes of quantifying the number of civilizations, but as a way to stimulate scientific dialogue at the first scientific meeting on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI). The fascinating equation summarizes the main concepts which scientists must contemplate when considering the question of other radio-communicative life. It is more properly thought of as an approximation than as a serious attempt to determine a precise number.

There is some criticism of the equation. Most criticism related to the Drake equation focuses not on the equation itself, but on the fact that the estimated values for several of its factors are highly conjectural, the combined multiplicative effect being that the uncertainty associated with any derived value is so large that the equation cannot be used to draw really firm conclusions.

Many scientists are searching for microbial life forms on other planets and moon in our solar system (Mars, Venus, Europa, Saturn). However, scientists in SETI (Search for extraterrestrial intelligence) are searching for extraterrestrial intelligent life forms.
